miR-139-5p Regulates PIEZO1 Expression to Modulate Radiation-induced Injury in Type II Alveolar Epithelial Cells: A Hypothesis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Radiation-induced pulmonary injury (RIPI) is a common adverse reaction when ionizing radiation acts on the lung. Type II alveolar epithelial cells participate in process of RIPI by regulating inflammation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, cellular senescence, etc. The expression miR-139-5p inhibited radiation, which plays role modulating radiotherapy resistance breast cancer tissues. PIEZO1, mechano-sensitive ion channel, has been found to play an essential bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis. Moreover, there exist some mechanisms between fibrosis and RIPI. stretch changes during might also regulate PIEZO1 signaling. Furthermore, predicted be downstream target gene miR-139-5p, leads increased mRNA protein expression. We hypothesized that modulate radiation-induced type cells. Therefore, it great practical significance explore new ways prevent treat break through existing research bottlenecks for improving prevention treatment

miR-21-5p regulates type II alveolar epithelial cell apoptosis in hyperoxic acute lung injury
Hyperoxia‑induced acute lung injury (HALI) as one of the most common complications in patents on mechanical ventilation, and there are no efficient methods to overcome this at present. It was hypothesized that microRNA 21‑5p(miR‑21‑5p) can promote the survival of type II alveolar epithelial cells (AECII), alleviating HALI. The present study aimed to combine gene chip analysis with the overexpre...
متن کاملmiR-802 regulates human angiotensin II type 1 receptor expression in intestinal epithelial C2BBe1 cells.
Studies have demonstrated that angiotensin II (Ang II) can regulate intestinal fluid and electrolyte transport and control intestinal wall muscular activity. Ang II is also a proinflammatory mediator that participates in inflammatory responses such as apoptosis, angiogenesis, and vascular remodeling; accumulating evidence suggests that this hormone may be involved in gastrointestinal (GI) infla...
متن کاملmiR-139-5p regulates proliferation, apoptosis, and cell cycle of uterine leiomyoma cells by targeting TPD52
BACKGROUND Uterine leiomyoma is one of the most common benign tumors in women. It dramatically decreases the quality of life in the affected women. However, there is a lack of effective treatment paradigms. Micro-RNAs are small noncoding RNA molecules that are extensively expressed in organisms, and they are interrelated with the occurrence and development of the tumor. miR-139-5p was found to ...
متن کاملIsoflurane regulates atypical type-A γ-aminobutyric acid receptors in alveolar type II epithelial cells.
BACKGROUND Volatile anesthetics act primarily through upregulating the activity of γ-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptors. They also exhibit antiinflammatory actions in the lung. Rodent alveolar type II (ATII) epithelial cells express GABAA receptors and the inflammatory factor cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). The goal of this study was to determine whether human ATII cells also express GABAA re...
متن کاملTrichostatin A inhibits radiation-induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in the alveolar epithelial cells
Radiation-induced pneumonitis and fibrosis are major complications following thoracic radiotherapy. Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays an important role in tissue injury leading to organ fibrosis, including lung. Our previous studies have reported that radiation can induce EMT in the type II alveolar epithelial cells in both in vitro and in vivo. HDAC inhibitors are a new family o...
